PHARMACOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF CARISSA CARANDAS FLOWERS

ABSTRACT
Carissa Carandas mill L, commonly known as Damask rose, is known as Gole Mohammadi in Iran. It is one of the most important species of Apocynaceae family. The alcoholic extract of the Carissa Carandas flowers shows the significance anti microbial and anti oxidant activity in a concentration of 500?g/ml and 30 ?g/ml respectively. The results were compared with standards like ofloxacin and ascorbic acid respectively.
