KINITICS STUDIES ON THE ADSORPTION PROCESSES FOR THE REMOVAL OF Fe(III) IONS BY CATION EXCHANGE RESIN (DOWEXTM HCR-SIS) FROM WASTEWATER

ABSTRACT
The adsorption of Fe(III) ions from wastewater solution was studied in abatch adsorption system. The study investigates the removal characteristics of Fe(III) ions from wastewater under various operating variabels such as: effect of pH, initial concentration, effect of adsorbent dosage, effect of time and temperature (25, 35 and 45 oC) and study the adsorption isotherm modeling using: langmuir, fruendlich, temkin and pyzhev isotherm, also the adsorption kinetics modeling intra-particle diffusion model and caculation the thermodynamic parameters (?S, ?G, ?H and Ea).
